The Initiative Development Training – IDT
Next Course venue near Stuttgart, Germany and will be confirmed shortly.

Do you have an idea? One that you would like to see realised, that could even lead to a project of some sort?
Why do you want to do it?
How do you start?
How do you manage it once it has started?
What do you need to learn and develop in yourself in order to do it?
From whom and with whom can you learn?
These are the basic questions that confront someone with initiative, with an idea that has not yet been put into practice. And it is these questions that a group of young people can address together within the framework of the IDT.
We start off with the group of people that has applied to join and meet for an initial weekend in order to plan all the others. What is to be learned, who from, where, when, who will organise it and all other questions are discussed and decided over this first weekend through a guided group process. Thereafter, the responsibilities are divided up over the group and each of the people has a certain task for the next period. A further 5 weekends are planned (about one a month), and the rest of the program takes its course.
Subjects like Project Management, Leadership, Intercultural Communication, Fundraising, Bookkeeping, Personal Development, Community Development and so on – whatever people feel they want to know about or be able to do, are themes that come up again and again. The group grows together into a kind of community over this time and generally stays in touch for a long time to come.
Many of the workcamp leaders and other initiative takers in Idem have gone through this process, which we offer publically once again.
